La compagnie Aremiti a annonc\u00e9 l’arriv\u00e9e en ao\u00fbt 2019 de son nouveau ferry, l’Aremiti 6, sur la ligne entre Tahiti et Moorea. Dot\u00e9 de 550 places passagers et de 5 places de v\u00e9hicules qui seront surtout destin\u00e9es aux deux-roues et aux v\u00e9los, l\u2019Aremiti 6 sera plus rapide et surtout moins gourmand en carburant que l\u2019actuel Aremiti 5.<\/p>\n

On apprend par la m\u00eame occasion que sur avis de la commission des agr\u00e9ments fiscaux, le gouvernement a refus\u00e9 en toute fin d\u2019ann\u00e9e derni\u00e8re d\u2019octroyer la d\u00e9fiscalisation locale au futur Aremiti 6, au motif qu\u2019une telle d\u00e9fiscalisation avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9t\u00e9 octroy\u00e9e pour l\u2019Aremiti ferry 2 en 2013. C’est ce qu’indique la presse mi-janvier 2019, en pr\u00e9cisant que l\u2019objectif pour le Pays est de veiller \u00e0 ne pas d\u00e9s\u00e9quilibrer la concurrence que se livrent les deux compagnies, Terevau et Aremiti sur la ligne.<\/p>\n

Cette ligne maritime a transport\u00e9 pr\u00e8s de 1.648.000 passagers (aller-retour compris) en 2017 (source atlas du transport maritime DPAM) et plus de 200.000 v\u00e9hicules (voitures, motos, scooters et poids lourds) dont plus de 95.000 deux roues (motos, scooters, v\u00e9los).<\/p>\n

Monsieur Tunua Degage de la direction d\u2019Aremiti, cit\u00e9 par la presse, a assur\u00e9 que \u00ab\u00a0ce revers n\u2019arr\u00eatera pas le projet\u00a0\u00bb et que le nouveau navire est attendu en ao\u00fbt prochain.<\/p>\n<\/div>
