Dans le respect des personnes, ils recherchent les causes qui compromettent leur \u00e9quilibre psychologique, \u00e9conomique ou social. Ils con\u00e7oivent et participent \u00e0 la mise en \u0153uvre des projets socio-\u00e9ducatifs des services ou de l\u2019\u00e9tablissement public dont ils rel\u00e8vent.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-3\">Selon leur formation, ils exercent plus particuli\u00e8rement leurs fonctions dans l\u2019une des sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9s suivantes :<br \/>&#8211; assistants du service social : dans cette sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9, les assistants socio-\u00e9ducatifs ont pour mission de conseiller, d\u2019orienter et de soutenir les personnes et les familles connaissant des difficult\u00e9s sociales, de les aider dans leurs d\u00e9marches et d\u2019informer les services dont ils rel\u00e8vent pour l\u2019instruction d\u2019une mesure d\u2019action sociale. Ils apportent leur concours \u00e0 toute action susceptible de pr\u00e9venir les difficult\u00e9s sociales ou m\u00e9dico-sociales rencontr\u00e9es par la population et d\u2019y rem\u00e9dier ;<br \/>&#8211; \u00e9ducateurs sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s : dans cette sp\u00e9cialit\u00e9, ils ont pour mission de participer \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9ducation des enfants ou adolescents en difficult\u00e9 d\u2019insertion et de soutenir les personnes handicap\u00e9es, inadapt\u00e9es ou en voie d\u2019inadaptation.
