The Opportunities

The Forum invites suitably experienced and qualified individuals to apply to one of the following international
positions to be based at the Forum in Suva, Fiji. These positions will lead and support the Forum’s work towards
supporting the interests of member countries:

1. Team Leader – Property Services
2. Programme & Project Officer

1. Team Leader – Property Services

The Team Leader – Property Services position is to manage the services related to provision of efficient property
management for the Forum, including facilitating preparations for meetings, conferences and events held within
the Forum. The incumbent also manages and maintaining PIF properties and assets that are safe for Members,
their Forum staff, and key stakeholders & partners usage.
The Forum property is a key venue for regional meetings at the Leader, Ministerial, diplomatic, multilateral, and
official level. For this reason, we must uphold international standards of work, maintenance, safety, and security
of the venues, for our staff and our visitors. The incumbent will be required to plan and lead on property
infrastructure projects and/or related physical developments and initiatives. Be able to think strategically and
manage operational activities, people, and projects.

The key responsibilities are summarised as:
• Strategic management of property and assets.
• Asset management.
• Landlord responsibilities.
• Management of other Forum services & assets.
• Occupational Health & Safety.
• Team performance and leadership.
Applicants should have a university degree (preferably a post-graduate degree) in facility/ asset management or
similar with substantial experience (7+ years) in property management experience including supervisory skills
would be an advantage. Additionally, applicants should have a wide-ranging knowledge of all facets of best
practice property management, maintenance, and development: asset management, building standards, fleet
management, safety hazards, OHS, and contract management.

2. Programme & Project Officer

The role of the Programme & Project Officer is to coordinate, monitor and analyse progress and outcomes of the
Forum’s internal and extra budget funded projects and programmes. The role will also provide support to and
oversight of all the internal projects within the Forum. The position reports to the Senior Adviser – Strategic
Planning & Coordination Unit (SPCU) and will work closely with all teams across the Forum to achieve corporate
responsibilities for the organisation. The key responsibilities of the position are summarized as:
• Support to extra budget programmes & projects.
• Oversight of internal & special projects.
• Support strategic planning & coordination activities.
Applicants should have a bachelor’s degree in either Management, Business Administration, Commerce,
Governance, Information Systems, Organisational Development, Project Management or similar from a
recognised higher learning institution. At least 3-5 years’ relevant work experience is required, in managing
programs, grants, or development assistance of which some time has been spent in a developing country.

The positions carry a competitive and attractive remuneration and benefits package including medical and life
insurance, education, and housing allowance.

• Team Leader – Property Services: Starting salary at SDR 37,933 to 43,790 equivalent to
FJD 113,743 to 131,304 and is placed at Band 11-12 of our salary scale.
• Programme & Project Officer: Starting salary at SDR 31,486 to 39,357 equivalent to
FJD 94,409 to 118,012 and is placed at Band 10 of our salary scale.
Note: Stated salaries are based on foreign exchange rates as at, 1 August 2023 but your final salary will be
dependent on foreign exchange rates at the time of payment.
