Le statut privilégié de la Polynésie française en fait un territoire indemne de rage, myxomatose, maladie hémorragique du lapin (VHD-1, VHD-2), et d’infection à Cochliomyia hominivorax ou à Chrysomya bezziana. La Direction de la Biosécurité surveille ces maladies afin d’en empêcher leur introduction sur le fenua.
The health status of French Polynesia makes it a territory free from rabies, myxomatosis, haemorrhagic disease of the rabbit (VHD-1, VHD-2), and infection with Cochliomyia hominivorax or Chrysomya bezziana. The Biosafety Department monitors these diseases in order to prevent their introduction on the fenua.
A. France
La France n’est pas un pays considéré indemne pour ces maladies et à ce titre, l’importation de lapin directement depuis la France n’est pas autorisée. France is not a country considered free for these diseases and as such, the importation of rabbits directly from France is not authorized.
B. Nouvelle-Calédonie / New-Caledonia
La Nouvelle-Calédonie, toute comme la Polynésie Française est un pays indemne de rage, myxomatose, maladie hémorragique du lapin (VHD-1, VHD-2), et d’infection à Cochliomyia hominivorax ou à Chrysomya bezziana donc l’importation de lapins depuis ce territoire n’est pas interdite, sous réserve que l’animal respecte les conditions sanitaires suivantes / New Caledonia, like French Polynesia, is a country free from rabies, myxomatosis, rabbit haemorrhagic disease (VHD-1, VHD-2), and infection with Cochliomyia hominivorax or Chrysomya bezziana therefore the importation of rabbits from this territory is not prohibited, provided that the animal complies with the following health conditions :
– le lapin est né en Nouvelle-Calédonie et y est resté jusqu’à son export vers la Polynésie française ou a résidé 6 mois continus en Nouvelle-Calédonie avant son export vers la Polynésie française et n’a jamais été vacciné contre la maladie hémorragique virale du lapin (variants VHD-1 et VHD-2) ; / the rabbit was born in New Caledonia and remained there until its export to French Polynesia or resided for 6 continuous months in New Caledonia before its export to French Polynesia and has never been vaccinated against hemorrhagic disease rabbit virus (VHD-1 and VHD-2 variants)
– le lapin est identifié soit par une marque agréée officiellement soit par un transpondeur répondant à la norme ISO 11784 ; the rabbit is identified either by an officially approved mark or by a transponder meeting the ISO 11784 standard
– le lapin est en possession de l’exportateur depuis plus de 60 jours / the rabbit has been in the possession of the exporter for more than 60 days
– le lapin n’a pas été en contact avec d’autres lapins au cours des 60 jours précédant son chargement / the rabbit has not been in contact with other rabbits in the 60 days prior to shipment
– S’il s’agit d’une lapine non stérilisée, elle n’est pas dans son dernier tiers de gestation / If it is an unsterilized rabbit, it is not in its last third of gestation.
– Le lapin a subi un traitement curatif contre les parasites internes y compris la coccidiose, se terminant dans les 48
heures précédant son chargement vers la Polynésie Française / The rabbit underwent curative treatment for internal parasites including coccidiosis, ending within 48 hours before loading to French Polynesia
– Le lapin a subi un traitement contre les parasites externes dans les 48 heures précédant son chargement vers la Polynésie Française / The rabbit underwent treatment for external parasites within 48 hours of shipment to French Polynesia
Une fois avoir pris connaissance des conditions sanitaires, veuillez suivre les étapes suivantes / Once you are aware of the sanitary conditions, please follow the next steps:
1. Compléter le formulaire de demande de permis d’importation d’un lapin depuis la Nouvelle-Calédonie, et le renvoyer par courriel à l’adresse suivante : animal.impex@biosecuite.gov.pf . Fournir les pièces justificatives exigées et la preuve de règlement des frais d’instruction du dossier (5500 XPF) / Complete the application form for a permit to import a rabbit from New Caledonia, and send it by email to the following address: animal.impex@biosecuite.gov.pf. Provide the required supporting documents and proof of payment of the costs of examining the file (5500 XPF);
2. Se renseigner auprès de la compagnie aérienne des modalités de transport de votre animal (cage IATA, vols éligibles) / Check with the airline for the transport arrangements for your animal (IATA cage, eligible flights)
3. Faire accomplir par votre vétérinaire traitant les traitements antiparasitaires internes et externes exigés, et lui faire compléter le certificat vétérinaire d’export depuis la Nouvelle-Calédonie vers la Polynésie française / Have your veterinarian in charge of the internal and external antiparasitic treatments required, and have him complete the veterinary certificate for export to French Polynesia;
4. Prendre un rendez-vous avec la DAVAR pour l’authentification du certificat vétérinaire dans les 48h avant le vol / Make an appointment with the DAVAR for the authentication of the veterinary certificate within 48 hours before the flight ;
5. Programmer la visite du vétérinaire traitant à l’aéroport de Nouméa – Tontouta au moment du chargement de votre animal vers la Polynésie française pour l’examen vétérinaire avant le départ et la pose du scellé de la cage / Schedule the visit of the attending veterinarian at Nouméa – Tontouta airport when loading your animal to French Polynesia for the veterinary examination before departure and the installation of the cage seal
6. Régler les frais d’inspection vétérinaire et de délivrance du laissez-passer par la Direction de la biosécurité (DBS) auprès du régisseur : 6500 xpf / Pay the costs of veterinary inspection and issuance of the laissez-passer by the Biosecurity Department (DBS) to the manager: 6,500 xpf
7. Prendre rendez-vous avec la Direction de la Biosécurité par courriel (adresse: animal.impex@biosecurite.gov.pf) ou par téléphone (tél: +689.40.540.100) pour l’inspection de votre lapin par le vétérinaire officiel après l’arrivée de votre animal à l’aéroport de Tahiti-Faa’a / Make an appointment with the Biosecurity Department by email (address: animal.impex@biosecurite.gov.pf) or by phone (tel: +689.40.540.100) for the inspection of your rabbit by the official veterinarian after the arrival of your animal at Tahiti-Faa’a airport
